Day by day
Fly or take the train to Mumbai and board
A short flight (1 h 15 m) or an overnight train gets you to Mumbai; the Cordelia terminal at Mumbai Port Trust (Ballard Pier) is about 30–40 minutes from the airport by road. Embarkation opens 3–4 hours before sailing — we recommend reaching the terminal by early afternoon for a smooth check-in with senior parents. Settle into the cabin, attend the mandatory lifeboat drill, and the ship sails out past the Gateway of India at sunset — a highlight in itself.
Arrive in Goa
The ship reaches Goa by morning. Cordelia offers optional shore excursions — a Panjim heritage walk, a spice plantation visit, or a beach day at Baga/Calangute — booked and paid separately, or you can go ashore independently on a tender or gangway. Families often use the day for a relaxed walk and shopping in Panjim rather than a packed tour. Back on board by the evening sailing time.
A full day on the ship
This is the day to use everything the ship offers: the pool deck, the spa, deck games, and an afternoon show rehearsal for children who want to join the evening performance. This is usually the formal night of the cruise — most families dress up for dinner in the main restaurant and the atrium photo session is popular with three generations together. The casino and lounge shows run late for those who want nightlife.
Lagoon day in Lakshadweep
Cordelia handles the Lakshadweep entry permit for every guest as part of the cruise fare — no separate application needed. The ship anchors offshore and tenders (small boats) ferry guests to the lagoon for swimming, snorkelling and a walk on Kavaratti or Agatti island, weather and port clearance permitting. This stop is occasionally skipped or shortened at short notice due to sea conditions, which Cordelia will confirm on board. Return to the ship by late afternoon for the return sailing.
Disembark and fly home
The ship docks back in Mumbai early morning. Disembarkation is by allotted time slots to manage the crowd — senior parents and early flight passengers get priority slots if requested at check-in. Allow 3–4 hours between docking and your Ahmedabad flight to clear the terminal and reach the airport in Mumbai traffic.
