Day by day
Land and go straight for darshan
Morning non-stop from Ahmedabad lands at Bhubaneswar a little after nine. Your driver meets you inside the terminal and you are in Puri by about eleven, 60 km on NH316. Check in, leave phones and leather in the room, and walk to the temple for the afternoon darshan — quieter than the evening. Mahaprasad at Ananda Bazaar afterwards, then the Grand Road and Swargadwar as the light goes.
Morning darshan, afternoon at Konark
Early darshan before the queue builds, which is the calmest hour of the whole trip. Back for breakfast, then the 35 km marine drive to Konark, stopping at Raghurajpur if you want to see the pattachitra painters at work. Two hours at the Sun Temple, lunch nearby, and Chandrabhaga beach on the way back. Evening free for the beach or a second darshan.
Gundicha, then fly home
A slow morning: Gundicha Temple two kilometres up the Grand Road, nearly empty outside the festival, and Lokanath if there is time. Check out and drive to Bhubaneswar, with Lingaraj Temple or the Udayagiri caves on the way if your flight allows. Home the same evening.
