Day 1
Ahmedabad → Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu

Fly to Kathmandu via Delhi or Mumbai. Meet at the airport and transfer to the hotel. If you arrive in time, attend the evening aarti at Pashupatinath.

Day 2
Kathmandu

Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Patan and Swayambhunath

Morning darshan at Pashupatinath and a walk around Boudhanath stupa. Afternoon at Patan Durbar Square and Swayambhunath, which means about 360 steps, or take the road to the top.

Day 3
Kathmandu → Pokhara

Manakamana on the way

About 210 km and 6–7 hours. Optional Manakamana cable car and temple, or river rafting, on the way. Evening by Phewa Lake.

Day 4
Pokhara → Jomsom

Into the Kali Gandaki gorge

A full-day mountain drive of about 180 km and 7 hours. The road is rough and unpaved after Beni. Stop at Galeshwar Mahadev and Baglung Kalika on the way. Simple lodge in Jomsom.

Day 5
Jomsom → Muktinath → Pokhara

Muktinath darshan

Early local jeep to Muktinath (about 1 hour), then about 20 minutes of steps to the temple, or hire a pony or motorbike. Bathe under the 108 spouts, darshan and Jwala Mai. Drive back to Pokhara the same day.

Day 6
Pokhara → Kathmandu

Pokhara temples and return

Vindhyavasini temple, Davis Falls and Gupteshwar Mahadev cave, then drive back to Kathmandu. Evening free for Thamel shopping.

Fly home

Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
