Day 1
Ahmedabad / Bhuj → Dhordo

White Rann sunset

Drive from Ahmedabad (about 7 hours) or pick up at Bhuj station/airport and drive 90 km to the Rann resort. Afternoon at Kalo Dungar if time allows, then the White Rann for sunset, camel cart ride and the cultural evening at the resort.

Day 2
Dhordo

Sunrise, Kalo Dungar and craft villages

Sunrise on the Rann, breakfast, then Kalo Dungar and the India Bridge viewpoint. After lunch visit Hodka, Ludiya and Bhirandiyara for embroidery and leather work, and go back out to the Rann for sunset or moonrise.

Day 3
Dhordo → Mandvi → Bhuj

Vijay Vilas Palace and Mandvi beach

Check out after breakfast and drive to Mandvi (about 145 km, 2½ hours). Vijay Vilas Palace, the Kranti Guru Shyamji Krishna Varma memorial, the dhow-building yard and Mandvi beach at sunset. On the way back to Bhuj stop at the 72 Jinalaya Jain temple complex.

Day 4
Bhuj → Mata no Madh → Narayan Sarovar → Koteshwar → Bhuj

The western shrines

A full day of about 170 km each way. Darshan at Ashapura Mata no Madh, then Narayan Sarovar and Koteshwar Mahadev at India's western edge. Return to Bhuj for the night.

Day 5
Bhuj → Ahmedabad

Bhuj palaces and home

Aina Mahal, Prag Mahal and the Kutch Museum, shopping in the old bazaar, the Swaminarayan temple, then Bhujodi and the Vande Mataram Memorial on the way out. Drive home to Ahmedabad (about 6 hours) or drop at Bhuj station/airport.
