Hanoi, Halong & Hoi An

The shortest trip that still gets you the two things Vietnam is famous for: a night on a Halong Bay junk and an evening in lantern-lit Hoi An. Skips the south entirely, which keeps the flying down to one internal hop.

5 nights / 6 days Route: Hanoi (2 nights) – Halong Bay cruise (1 night) – Da Nang & Hoi An (2 nights) From ₹78,000 per person, indicative

Highlights

  • Arrive in Hanoi
  • Old Quarter, Train Street and the water puppets
  • Overnight on the bay
  • Fly south to the coast
  • Golden Bridge and the lanterns
  • Fly home

Good to know

Best months
October–April for Hanoi and Halong; February–August for Da Nang and Hoi An; December–April for Ho Chi Minh City. A north-to-south trip works best in February–April, when all three regions are dry at once
From Ahmedabad
No direct flight from Ahmedabad. One stop via Delhi, Mumbai, Bangkok, Singapore or Kuala Lumpur; total 9–13 hours depending on the connection
Veg & Jain food
Indian restaurants in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, plus Buddhist vegetarian (com chay) everywhere. Fish sauce is in most local dishes, so we book veg and Jain meals ahead
Good for
Families who have done Thailand or Bali and want more variety, honeymooners, photographers, and first-time long-haul travellers who want an easy visa
