Bali with Gili Islands
For couples and small groups who want beaches, temples and a proper island stretch: three nights in Seminyak, two in Ubud, and three on car-free Gili Trawangan reached by fast boat. The Gili leg needs a tolerance for a choppy crossing and simpler food — we say so upfront rather than after booking.
Day by day
Arrive on the coast
Fly Ahmedabad–Delhi/Mumbai, then onward via Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok to Ngurah Rai Airport; most connections land by late afternoon or evening. e-VOA QR scan and customs declaration on arrival, then transfer to your Seminyak hotel. Evening free to settle in.
Water sports and beach clubs
Morning at Tanjung Benoa for optional water sports. Afternoon at a Seminyak or Canggu beach club — loungers, a pool and sunset views, with vegetarian bar snacks and mocktails widely available. Dinner at an Indian restaurant in Seminyak.
Temple sunset and Kecak dance
Late-afternoon drive to Uluwatu for the clifftop temple and the evening Kecak fire dance performance. Sarongs provided at the gate. Return to Seminyak for dinner.
Drive to Ubud via waterfalls
Check out and drive to Ubud (about 1.5 hours), stopping at Tegenungan Waterfall on the way. Check in by early afternoon; evening free to explore central Ubud.
Rice terraces, Monkey Forest and the ridge walk
Early visit to Tegallalang rice terraces, then the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. Late afternoon walk along the Campuhan Ridge for sunset. Dinner at a Jain-friendly restaurant in Ubud.
Fast boat to Gili Trawangan
Morning transfer from Ubud to the fast-boat harbour at Padangbai or Serangan (about 1–1.5 hours by road), then a 2–2.5 hour fast-boat crossing to Gili Trawangan. Sea conditions can make this a bouncy ride — motion-sickness tablets and a dry bag for phones and passports are worth having on hand, and each traveller is limited to one bag that can be carried across the shallow water landing, since the boat cannot dock directly at the jetty in all tide conditions. A cidomo cart meets the boat to take luggage and guests to the hotel.
Snorkelling and island time
Morning snorkelling with green sea turtles just off Trawangan's east coast — wade in directly from the beach, no boat needed. Afternoon free to explore the island on foot, by bicycle or by cidomo cart; there are no cars or scooters anywhere on Gili Trawangan, Meno or Air. Sunset at one of the beach bars on the west side of the island facing Bali's Mount Agung.
Return crossing and fly home
Morning fast boat back to Padangbai or Serangan (2–2.5 hours), then a private car transfer to Ngurah Rai Airport. Leave enough buffer for this leg — sea conditions occasionally delay the Gili boats by an hour or two. Connecting flights home via Singapore/Kuala Lumpur/Bangkok.
